Barry Gardiner visit with Year 6
Published on 24th of April 2019
As part of Year 6’s pollution project, we wrote persuasive letters to our local MP Mr Barry Gardiner. On Monday 1st April, the children had the opportunity to present their suggestions of ways to reduce air pollution on East Lane. Mr Gardiner spent a hour with the children discussing ideas and answering questions. The children were inspired and challenged as their knowledge was put to the test. Mr Gardiner will be receiving our letters in post!
He even posted on Twitter, sharing how impressed he was with our pupils in Year 6 - calling them ultra smart.
Year 6 enjoyed questioning Barry Gardiner and welcome the opportunity to campaign for cleaner air around our school.
