Reception and Years 1 and 2 Appeals

The grounds for appealing for a Reception, Year 1 or Year 2 place for your child are very restricted as schools are legally prevented from having more than 30 pupils in these classes.  Appeals for these year groups would only be successful in the following circumstances:
•If the admissions procedure was not carried out properly
•If the decision not to admit your child was not one which a reasonable admission authority would make in the circumstances of the case.

You should only consider appealing if you can make a case on either of the grounds described above.  There are no grounds of appeal for Nursery places.
